Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to travel to the countries where you do guided tours?
Yes. Safety is always a priority. We regularly check Government Travel Advisories and only travel to places that are considered “low level” risk areas. We also have protocols in place regarding safety when in areas where venomous snakes are found.
Rarely. We will occasionally experience a torrential downpour, which typically lasts a short time. It might affect which species we find but it won’t affect the number of species. The rain often brings out species that would otherwise not be on the crawl.
Yes, we insure our clients on a trip-to-trip basis. We will provide each client with a detailed copy of the insurance coverage before departing to our destination.
Yes. In the case of an emergency due sickness, death of a loved one or injury, we would refund your payment in full. You might not be entitled to a refund of your deposit in the case of a non-emergency situation that occurs less than 20 days before the departure date.
No. Whether the maximum number of 8-10 clients sign up or only a few people sign up, we would still depart on our regularly scheduled trip.
In many cases, yes. If the local laws allow us to do so. We do not allow our clients to handle venomous reptiles or others that would be considered “dangerous” such as a large lizard species. We do allow our clients to take photos from a safe distance often within a few feet and under our guidance.
Although rare, circumstances can arise that are completely out of our control. In the event of a delay or flight change, we would notify you immediately and make the necessary changes to minimize any inconveniences.
Clients must be 18 or older to be eligible to go on international tours.
There are multiple guides accompanying our clients on each hike. One of our guides will walk at your pace and assist you.
